It's National Up-Side Down Pineapple Cake Day
1 pkg. Duncan Hines Deluxe Yellow Cake Mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 12 oz. can of pineapple (rings)
1 jar maraschino cherries
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a sauce pan and pour into a bundt cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over the butter. Arrange pineapple rings on top with cherries. Follow the directions in preparing the cake batter, and pour over top of the fruit. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the a toothpick test comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool for 5 minutes, then turn upside down on a plate. Serve with Cool Whip.
